View the reports for dlp on the Compliance center

Hello,

I have set a Data Loss Prevention policy on the Microsoft Purview with a couple of block with override rules, the end user is required to provide a justification on why they need to copy the sensitive data with a policy tip. There is also an alert setting whenver that happens. Is there is a way to view the justification submitted by a user for an override on the Purview Compliance center? I see this article View the reports for data loss prevention - Microsoft Purview (compliance) | Microsoft Learn that reports can be viewed. Is the the information still accurate or up to date on that article? Currently I cannot see any reports on the https://compliance.microsoft.com/. Are those reports different than the activity exploer?

Looks like you do not have the below level of access to view the reports.

To view DLP reports in the Purview compliance portal, you have to be assigned the:

Security Reader role in the Exchange admin center. By default, this role is assigned to the Organization Management and Security Reader role groups in the Exchange admin center.

View-Only DLP Compliance Management role in the Purview compliance portal. By default, this role is assigned to the Compliance Administrator, Organization Management, Security Administrator, and Security Reader role groups in the Purview compliance portal.

View-Only Recipients role in the Exchange admin center. By default, this role is assigned to the Compliance Management, Organization Management, and View-Only Organization Management role groups in the Exchange admin center.

Once you have access, you should be able to see the reports on the https://sip.compliance.microsoft.com/homepage

I also have this issue. I am Global Administrator, is that not High enough rights to see the reports?

Also, I was in the reports when they suddenly went away yesterday.

To view DLP reports in the Purview compliance portal, you have to be assigned the:

The reports capability was deprecated from the Purview portal in March on this year.

Hi BhargavaGunnam-MSFT,

Thanks for the response. Just to confirm, do I need to have all of the 3 roles to be able to see the reports? If I have 1 of the roles, can I still view the reports? For example, I am currently a Compliance Administrator on the microsoft purview which means by default I have the 'View-Only DLP Compliance Management role'. Also, I spoke to an IT person in my organization who is a global admin and he mentioned that he cannot view those purview reports as well. That is why I was wondering if that article about the reports is up to date?

Hello Bibi2010_E,

Thank you for the reply. My understanding is that you need to have one of the roles(mentioned in the document) to view DLP reports.

However, I am contacting my internal team for more clarification on access part. I will provide you an update as soon as I hear from them.

I've confirmed that our Global Adminstartor cannot view the Purview reports at https://sip.compliance.microsoft.com/homepage
