Hi Reyan The error code 0x80072F8F - 0x2000 typically indicates an issue with the date and time settings on your Windows 7 computer. This error commonly occurs when the system clock is not synchronized correctly.

To fix this error and successfully run the media creation tool on Windows 7, follow these steps:

    1. Check your system date and time: Ensure that the date, time, and time zone settings on your Windows 7 computer are accurate. Right-click on the clock in the system tray, select "Adjust date/time," and verify that the settings are correct.
    2. Sync your system clock: If your system clock is not synchronized, you may encounter the error. To synchronize the clock, follow these steps:
      • Click on the "Internet Time" tab in the Date and Time settings window.
      • Click on "Change settings."
      • Check the box that says "Synchronize with an Internet time server."
      • Choose a time server from the drop-down menu, such as "time.windows.com."
      • Click on "Update now" and then "OK" to save the changes.
    3. Disable proxy settings (if applicable): If you are using a proxy server on your Windows 7 computer, it's recommended to temporarily disable it before running the media creation tool. To disable proxy settings, follow these steps:
      • Open the Control Panel and go to "Internet Options."
      • Click on the "Connections" tab and then click on "LAN settings."
      • Uncheck the box that says "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
      • Click on "OK" to save the changes.
    4. Run the media creation tool in administrator mode: Right-click on the media creation tool executable file and select "Run as administrator." This ensures that the tool has the necessary permissions to perform the installation.
