Hi everyone,

I am just getting started in azure which has lead me to a very junior license question. I have noticed we have a few licenses in our managed azure tenant which are not assigned. Licenses include:

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps

Microsoft Defender for Identity

  • Azure AD P2

What account should I assign these too? We already have access to these features via 365 Defender.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated

If you already have the licensing you need assigned, then no need to assign these at all actually. Hold on to them if needed in the future! :)

    HI Callum ,

If you have the desired License , then nothing needs to be done , however , if you need to assign Licenses to users or groups , you can follow the below and check if this meets your requirement.
