Hi

Is it posible to use Exchange Online Admin Center Migrate function to move mails from one tenant to another?

We do not have DirSync in either of these tenants, they are cloud only tenants.

Need is to move old mails from couple of user mailboxes, nothing else needs to be transferred.

    @IMK

    The Cross-tenant mailbox migration function in new Exchange online admin center will migrate mailbox from one tenant to another tenant rather than only emails. After migration, mailbox will hosted on new tenant.

    If you want to migrate mailbox to hosted on another tenant, you can use this function, before migration, you need to do those prerequisites.

    If you just want to copy emails from one mailboxes to another mailbox, you may need to export/import email from Outlook client.

    For more detail information about Cross-tenant mailbox migration function, you can have a look about this article: Cross-tenant mailbox migration (preview) (There also exist some limitation and know issue with this new function, you can see from the end of this article)

    Apart from that, you can do manual export/import, or use third-party solutions. You will have to take care of the identity and mail flow components if you go the first-party route, while some of the third-party tools can handle that too.

    Hi

    Thanks for answers!

    This Cross-tenant mailbox migration seems a bit heavy task for us. We have 4 mailboxes to move and I was looking for an easy way, something like IMAP move. Just submit source mailboxes and credentials and tool would fetch mailbox items.

    I think that we are going to go with PST export/import.
