Hello,

We have currently Configuration Manager 2203 installed with Configuration Manager 2203 Hotfix Rollup (KB14244456).

I have available:

Configuration Manager 2207 + 3 Hotfixes

Configuration Manager 2211

Configuration Manager 2303

Is it possible to install 2303 on top of 2203 or I need all the intermediate steps?

Thanks,

Dom

    Hi, @Duchemin, Dominique

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Yes, it is possible to upgrade directly from Configuration Manager 2203 to Configuration Manager 2303, you do not need to install all the intermediate versions.

We can upgrade to version 2303 directly from version 2111 or later.

However, before upgrading, it is recommended that you review the release notes and checklist for each version to ensure that your environment meets the requirements for the new version and to understand the changes included in each update.

    Hello @AllenLiu-MSFT ,
You need to remove the ".txt" and then extract the zip file

    Thanks,

    Hi, @Duchemin, Dominique

Based on the context you have provided, it seems like the SCCM upgrade has failed due to a file hash check failure. The error message "ERROR: File hash check failed: 0x80070002" indicates that there is an issue with verifying the hash of a file, namely "MMASETUP-AMD64.EXE". This is causing the installation to fail as it cannot find a valid source for the required file.

To fix this issue, you can try deleting the "CMUStaging" folder and restarting the "SMS_Executive" service. This will force the SCCM to re-download the update package. You can also check if the required file "MMASETUP-AMD64.EXE" exists in the specified location and if it has the correct hash value. If not, you may need to download the correct file manually and place it in the appropriate location.
