Student wanting to use Face API

Question

Hello!
I am a student that just got some azure credits through my part time job.
I really want to make a magic mirror with face recognition and saw that Azure had a Face API!

But, I have to apply through a form to use it. Specifically this form.

This is a side project, I am a student full time working part time. The form wants company information etc.

Is there any way that I can use the Face API or is it restricted to only companies?

As we know the Face service access is limited based on eligibility and usage criteria in order to support Responsible AI principles.

If you are looking for an academic research purpose, then need not fill this form as mentioned here try to send an email with the requested details below:

If you are performing academic research or your company is engaged in independent testing of our facial recognition technology for public benefit like accuracy across demographic groups or fairness reporting, please do not use this form. Send your name, organizational affiliation, principal investigator, and a description of your academic research or testing scenarios to limacctr@microsoft.com.

Additionally, the Face Detection operation is available without registration if you are interested you can try this if that helps in your case.
