Cannot Display All Folders on NAS in File Explorer
I've recently been through the "Network Attached Storage can't be seen/mapped in Windows 10" ordeal and have it resolved...mostly. I have a Western Digital MyPassport 4TB external SSD connected as NAS via USB to my Asus RT-N66R router. Accessing the router directly using a browser interface, I can see all 4 directories on the NAS. However, using Windows Explorer, I can only see 3 of the 4 directories. I've mapped the NAS as Z:\ and 3 folders are visible. If I type the path (e.g., \RT-N66R\MyPassport_4TB\Folder Name) into the bar at the top of the Windows Explorer screen, I can then see that directory and all subfolders...but I can't map to it. I experience the same phenomenon on two separate computers I've tried, both running Windows 10.
As an interim solution, I'm able to create a shortcut for that "invisible" folder on the desktop using the full path above, but using this is cumbersome compared to being able to see all 4 folders simultaneously within Explorer.
I can't figure out why 3 directories would show up but not the fourth. Suggestions?
