If the organizer of a meeting series leaves the organization and their identity is removed from Active Directory, the meeting series will still exist the co-organizer will become the new organizer of the meeting series. The meeting series will continue as scheduled with the new organizer's name appearing in the meeting invitations and notifications. However, the organizer's name will no longer appear in the meeting invitation and they will not receive any updates or notifications about the meeting. The meeting will still take place as scheduled, but without the original organizer's involvement.
To transfer ownership of a meeting series, you can use the "Delegate Access" feature in Outlook. This allows you to grant another person permission to manage your calendar, including creating and editing meetings. To do this, open your calendar in Outlook and click on "File" > "Account Settings" > "Delegate Access". From there, you can add the person you want to transfer ownership to and select the appropriate permissions. Once you have done this, the new owner of the meeting series can edit the meeting details and take over as the organizer.
