Mysql flexible server : how to set parameter who is not present ?

Hello,

I created a mysql flexible server.

I want to set the server parameter "optimizer_switch" to "prefer_ordering_index=off".

But this parameter is not present in the azure portal.

When I connect directly to the database and set this parameter to off, after about 30 minutes the value is reset.

Do you have a solution ?

    I have checked in my Azure portal and could see Server parameter "optimizer_switch" for MySQL Flexible server.

    May I please know which region and version your server is in? If possible, please share a screenshot of the server parameter.

    This is a Mysql 8.0 server based on France Central location.

    This is not a region-level setting. The allowed values should be the same for all 8.0 servers. 

    I checked the configuration template for 8.0, seems we don’t have this prefer_ordering_index=on and prefer_ordering_index=off for 8.0 from day 1

    Checking with Internal team in adding the missing parameters

    @RahulRandive Can you please reverify if you have checked in 8.0 or 5.7?
