So, I'm not very tech savvy, but here it goes. Our computer is operating with a Windows 7.1 and we'd like to upgrade to Windows 10. I got an error code of 0x80072F8F-0X20000 and did the Easy fix 51044. It did fine and said it was complete. I then restarted my computer and tried to download 10, but yet again the error code prompt for 0x80072F8F-0X20000 popped up. So, I did the Easy Fix again, and it said complete and did not work. Please help! I'm trying to get my computer set up so my son can use it to pair with his 3D printer. Thanks!

There is no version as Windows 7.1, so I believe you are using Windows 7 and not Windows 8.1, is that correct?
The best solution would be run Windows Update and download and install all updates and restart your PC and try again.
