I would like to know if there's a way to link my local windows server file server and SharePoint online. To go a little more in depth with what I'm looking for, If I save a document on my fileserver while on prem and then go to work from home Id link for it to propagate it my SharePoint site. While at home I can make changes and it will do the same from SharePoint to my fileserver.

If you need more clarification please ask, I'm at the end o f my rope with this one!

In my opinion, I suggest you sync SharePoint files with your local file server by using OneDrive.

In the document library, click Sync. The files then sync to a folder on your PC that has the name of your organization. This folder is automatically added to the left pane in File Explorer.
