SharePoint Online: Modern Document Set - description in Properties is not showing in List View of Parent Library

Question

I have created a document set in a modern document library.

The description in the Properties panel does not show in the list view of the parent document library.

If I edit the list in grid view, the description I enter is not reflected in the Properties panel.

When I view the document set in classic, the description is on the document set landing page but not the description column in the parent document library.

New question: Is there a landing page for a modern document set as there is for a classic document set?

Based on your description, I understand that the description of document set does not show in the Description column in the modern view.

After adding document set content type, there are two description columns in the document library.

Click edit current view -> Select both two description columns.
