Azure Logic App Management dashboard is always empty and does not show run history

Hi there ,
I have setup "Azure Logic App Management" solution on the back of Log analytics workspace and have enabled diagnostic setting to push metrics etc into Log analytics workspace from all Logic apps. Its been more than 2/3 days but dashboard is always empty. Please note that in the background all logics app are running every day.
This has been setup based on the Microsoft document - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/logic-apps/monitor-logic-apps-log-analytics.

In addition - under a specific logic app logs, if I run this query "AzureMetrics | where TimeGenerated > ago(24h) ", I get some results but if I click on Preview Data under Azure Activity, I get an error saying "Error retrieving data".

@Kailash Pandey As you mentioned that you have enabled the diagnostic logs for all the Logic apps to send data to Log Analytics Workspace, can you please check whether the data is getting logged in Log Analytics workspace. You can use below query to check for a specific logic app.

AzureDiagnostics | where Category =~ "WorkFlowRunTime" and resource_workflowName_s =~ "enter your logic app name"

If data is getting logged and still you aren't able to see into in Logic App Management Preview. Kindly revert.

Can you also provide me the count of columns available in Azure Diagnostics. You can use below query.

@Kailash Pandey Also, when diagnostic settings are enabled for logic app , all the metrics will be stored in "AzureMetrics" table and the WorkFlowRunTime logs will be stored in "AzureDiagnostics" table. "AzureActivity" table stores the activity log of the management group, subscription or resource level event logs. As you were trying to preview data , kindly check if the Azure Activity Logs are being forwarded to Log Analytics workspace that you were looking.

Hi @SwathiDhanwada-MSFT ,
Sorry for being late in responding to your queries. Both of your queries are working and am getting results as well. I managed to solve this issue and my dashboard is rendering as expected . The thing that I did to fix this was to add a "Diagnostic settings inside" the Log analytics workspace and redirecting the logs to the same "Log-Analytics-workspace" . Although I am not 100% sure about the need of this step but this has fixed the issue.

@SwathiDhanwada-MSFT - On a separate note - once I start drilling down the dashboard between successful and failure runs, I don't get the detailed step level details through "Log analytics". In other words, If I need to get the step level details (to debug failures) , I have to go to the specific Logic Apps Run history and see each step. This is not a good experience and a troublesome thing for an administrator. See the attached screen shot where I have clearly shown steps by step process for your quick reference.
Please advise .

@Kailash Pandey Please note to get the diagnostic logs of the logic app, you just need to enable the diagnostic settings of the Logic app. Enabling Log analytics diagnostic logs is not related to the logs of logic app. I would suggest you to recheck on it.

I would recommend you to navigate here and share your feedback or suggestions directly with the responsible Azure feature team so that they enhance the solution and clicking the vote button of your suggestion to raise visibility and priority on it.
