- Open the Services control panel. You can open it by pressing the Win + R keys, typing "services.msc" into the Run box, and pressing Enter.
- In the service list, find the "Workstation" and "Server" services
- Right-click the service and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, make sure the General tab is selected.
- In the Startup Type drop-down menu, select Automatic.
- If the "Status" of the service is "Stopped", click the "Start" button to start the service.
- Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons to save the changes.
In addition to these you may also check whether your user has sufficient permissions.
