Please help when I choose "Windows Server 2019 Datacenter -x64 Gen2" i received this message
"This virtual machine requires a subscription without any spending limit or temporary payment method set. Use a different subscription or update your subscription (requires account administrator privilages) at [Account Center] (https://account.windowsazure.com) to continue"
I will explain everything. Before i have two existing RDP and I FULLY DELETED those two existing RDP recently and make a NEW ONE but unfortunately I received that message please check the photo I attached.
When the last time I used "Windows Server 2019 Datacenter -x64 Gen2" i have no issue with it. By the way I currently used the free 200$ credit and i have 106$ balance remaining. Please help me how to fix this. Please help

You can create a VM using "Windows Server 2022 Datacenter -x64 Gen2" but "Windows Server 2019 Datacenter -x64 Gen2" is very impossible i really don't know what happened here. I hope azure company found this issue

What happened? I'm normally doing just fine with my enterprise account with plenty of budget and since today I can't create my usual D or B Vm's anymore.
The issue seems to be connected (for me) to the Win 11 ISO's such as Windows 11 Pro N, version 22H2 (x64 gen 2) as well for the enterprise version both N and non-N versions.
For me , Mainly issue occurred when selected windows 2016 OS , tried with windows 2022 OS it worked well.
Other services like recovery vault , azure backup , App services can be configured with the same visual studio subscription.

I have the same issue, if I use win 2022 & Client OS It is working, but it is not working with any other images.
Anyone from MS can explain why it doesn't work anymore ? And please resolve this issue !

I have the same issue - this worked previously and 2019 VM's I created previously still work.
It seems to be an issue when choosing to create 2012R2, 2016 or 2019 server images (server 2022 works fines too). I am also able to create VMs using ubuntu images for example

Hello all, I opened a MS case related to the issue and I undestood that some OS images have been recently moved in Azure marketplace and due to this some new policy applies to the images.
Since last friday I am able to choose whatever OS images I need for my VMs.

I have currently the same issue with "Windows 11 Enterprise, version 23H2". The OS "Windows 11 Enterprise, version 22H2" is working without issue. Has anyone received an answer from Microsoft on the topic or a solution to the error. There is no issue or error message if I create a VM with the "Windows 11 Enterprise, version 23H2" image via powershell.

For me 2019 is not free anymore, because 2022 is still free eligible . You can find 2022 when you tick the see all images.

I have same issue today. VM creation work with ubuntu server and Windows 10 but not for other OS.

There might be an issue from the Microsoft end while creating Windows server 2016,2019 and Windows 11 Pro, using Azure Portal.
As an alternative option you can create Windows Server 2016 ,2019 and Windows 11 pro by using ARM Template and Azure Blueprint.,
