How to dowload many files or folders from sharepoint

Question

I have a problem, I can't download more than one file or any folder to my local drive from sharepoint via web client. When I select more than one item, the download button disappears. Ideally, I would like to download the entire library, but I can not find how. I'm also interested in how to download multiple selected files or folders. The account I work with has full permissions.

Windows server 2019 Sahrepoint 2019 MSSQL 2019

In Google, unfortunately, I could not find how to do this, all I found was that there was a download button and no problems.

Apologies for the late reply!

Per my knowledge, you cannot use "Download a Copy" when multiple items are selected, please select a single document and try.

I tested in my side and here is the result:

If you want to download multiple files, then I suggest you open the files in file explorer and copy. I would like to remind you that this is not the best way to copy or download files in SharePoint online.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Based on your description, you found that you cannot download multiple files or folder from SharePoint Online site by clicking download button.

I tested on my side, and I did not find this problem. I successfully downloaded the files.

To further narrow down this issue, may I know the following information at your convenience?

1: Does this problem occur in all your SharePoint document libraries or this particular SharePoint Document library?

2: You can also try to create a new document library and see whether the same issue happened.

For your needs, you can use One Drive to download your files or folders to your computer.

Here are the steps:

Sync SharePoint and Teams files with your computer

By default, OneDrive sync app has enabled “File on-demand” feature to save your local disk space. Hence the SharePoint library you synced is will be online status (cloud icon).

 

 

In this scenario, you can right click on the SharePoint document library folder and choose Always keep on this devices, which OneDrive will download a local copy of the files to your computer.
