How to fix The Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) has cancelled the distributed transaction. ?

We have an Azure Synapse SQL Dedicated pool set up for our operations. I have created a Stored Procedure which when I try and execute gives the following error :

The Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) has cancelled the distributed transaction.

The Stored procedure execution worked earlier, but it stopped working for past 3 days. How do I resolve this issue?

Hello @ShaikMaheer-MSFT , the issue has been resolved for us. Also, how do we check connectivity between Synapse SQL Dedicated Pool and MS DTC server?

Hi Aayush Suresh Jain,

Thank you for posting query in Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Since you mentioned there is no recent changes and it was working fine earlier, i suspect it mostly due to network connectivity issues. Could you please check connectivity between your Synapse SQL dedicated pool and MS DTC server?

We tried two things to resolve the issue :
1st - Updating the Stats worked for us

2nd - We switched to a user with higher rc (Resource Classes) - The login we were trying had smallrc assigned to it and we tried with another login with largerc assigned and that also worked for us.
