Recent windows updates broke my windows sound

Question

I tried to update the sound driver with no luck. I did windows troubleshooting tool with no luck either. Any advice on how to fix sound thing? So frustrated!

Open Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Expand to locate the sound card driver > Right click to uninstall > Reboot.

Download and install the sound card driver from the support site of the manufacturer.

Try running Powershell as administrator and run the following commands:

net stop Audiosrv

and then when the service is stopped do:

net start Audiosrv

I fixed the issue by running windows troubleshooting tool.
