If you're experiencing issues with the display and download of images in Outlook on Azure Virtual Desktops, there are a few potential causes and solutions you can try:

Check Firewall and Proxy Settings: Ensure that there are no firewall or proxy restrictions that are blocking the display or download of images in Outlook. Verify that the necessary ports and protocols are allowed for accessing images.

Verify Outlook Settings: Confirm that the settings within Outlook are not preventing the display or download of images. In Outlook, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings, and check the settings under the "Automatic Download" section. Make sure that the option to download pictures is enabled.

Enable Automatic Picture Download: In some cases, Outlook may be configured to block the automatic download of pictures for security reasons. To enable automatic picture download, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings. Under the "Automatic Download" section, check the "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML email messages or RSS items" option and uncheck the "Don't download pictures automatically in encrypted or signed HTML email messages" option.

Clear Outlook Cache: Corrupted cache files in Outlook could potentially cause issues with image display and download. Close Outlook, navigate to the Outlook cache folder (located in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Outlook), and delete the contents of the folder. Restart Outlook and check if the issue persists.

Update Outlook: Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for Outlook. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could resolve issues with image display and download.

Verify Virtual Desktop Configuration: Check the configuration of your Azure Virtual Desktop environment. Ensure that the virtual machines have the necessary resources and capabilities to display and download images. Also, verify if any specific policies or settings are applied that might restrict image access.
