I'm trying to see the network hops and time it takes for each hop to be checked for a website; however the website is communicating over port 443; hence if I do tracert with just URL; it fails after a point.
On Linux systems; traeroute offers -p parameter where port can be specified.
The URL I'm trying to hit only works on port 443 and hence beyong certain n/w hop; it just times out/ gives no response. If I try same approach from Linux as well; it fails.
Only when I specifiy below command on Linux/ Unix; it works:
traceroute -T -p 443 <URL>
Need to check how this can be achieved in Windows as tracert doesn't seem to have option to specify a different port number.
