Question

Azure OpenAI quota does not decrease even if it is deleted

I deployed GPT-35-Turbo on Azure OpenAI with TPM120.

After that, I deleted the deployed one, but the Usage/Limit for the deleted Quotas page of Azure OpenAI Studio has not decreased.

It's been a day since it was deleted, but nothing has changed.

I also deleted the resource group, but do I need to do any additional operations?

I have same situation. I've deleted Azure Open AI resources from the Azure Portal, and when I've created new one, the limit is already used.
What have you done to solve the issue?

After waiting for about 5 days without doing anything, the deleted quota was reflected.

It seems that it takes time to reflect when deleting from other than Azure OpenAI Studio.

After some digging it turns out, that when deleting an Azure OpenAI resource, Azure provides the possibility to recover any deleted Azure AI Services within 48 hours where after it will be purged automatically. However this retains the quotas, so if you need the quota right away, go and purge the resources under "Manage deleted resources" under your Azure OpenAI resources overview.

Are you still seeing the same quota or quota is increased irrespective of deletion?

Can you verify that the Azure OpenAI resource has been deleted correctly? You can check the Azure portal to see if the resource is still listed. If it is still listed, try deleting it again.

Note that enabling capabilities like sending data to Azure Monitor Logs, alerting, etc. incurs additional costs for those services. These costs are visible under those other services and at the subscription level, but aren't visible when scoped just to your Azure OpenAI resource.

I also deleted the resource group, but do I need to do any additional operations?

I resolved this issue today.

I didn't do anything, but when I looked at Azure Open Studio today, the deleted amount was reduced.

It may take some time for it to appear after it is deleted.
