I am curious how often Status Messages should be sent and received from devices. The device I am looking at has the following details:

Last Logon: 10/14/2020 @ 10:33:46 AM
Policy Request 10/19/2020 @ 12:35 PM
Heartbeat DDR 10/14/2020 @ 9:15 AM
Software Scan - I have since disabled this
Management Point - My site server address
Status Message 9/28/2020 @ 9:12AM

How come there haven't been any status messages since, the device is showing failed in my current update deployment monitoring yet it has plenty of space. Back on the 28th of September it didn't.

I notice this with a lot more than one client that the status messages are not sending in a timely manner, or at least it seems that way.

Status messages are asynchronous and sent as they are generated.

The data you've copied above is not a reflection of the real-time status of the device you pulled this from but is instead summarized data. From memory, client health data is summarized every 4 hours.

To troubleshoot a specific deployment on a device, you need to review the deployments node in monitoring for that deployment and the reports for updates (and possibly the log files on the device itself).
