Note- Please backup your files before implementing any of these steps...
Here are a few things you can do-
- Ensure that both Excel and Microsoft Teams are up to date with the latest versions.
- Clear the Excel cache by following these steps:
- Close all instances of Excel.
- Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type
%temp%
and press Enter. This will open the temporary folder. - Select all files and folders in the temporary folder and delete them.
- Restart Excel and try opening the files from Teams again.
- Use the Microsoft Office Repair feature to repair any potential issues with the Office installation.
- Ensure that the user accessing the files has the necessary permissions both in Teams/SharePoint and on the local machine. Make sure they have appropriate read/write access to the files and folders.
