My pc keeps crashing / restarting randomly . Here's my event log,

This is a fatal hardware error. Most likely either the CPU or Graphics card.

What hardware are you using?

Does this only happen while gaming or on startup?

Have you made an modifications to the systems hardware such as installing new hardware or over-clocking the CPU?

I built my pc early this year i did not install any new hardware , also this happens while gaming not on start up and I didn't overclock my cpu at all i just offed all PBO settings in bios after this problem started occurring hoping that would fix the problem.

My specs are
-5800x
-8x2 Gb ram
-Asus tuf wifi x570 mobo
-Corsair RMx Series (2021), RM850x, 850 Watt, GOLD
-6950xt XFX

Weird thing is it happens in some games after some amount of time , in other games even after like a hour it does not crash. When this problem started occurring i ran OCCT / Stability test and ran the game which used to crash always in the background , however this time it did not crash ????

Can you review Device Manager for any Driver errors?? I would see if there are any Driver updates available specifically for the Chipset. You can use System Information\Components\Problem Devices to identify any other current device issues. From what I've seen this is often an issue with Drivers, specifically Chipset and GPU drivers, Windows will shut-down if over-heating, if this is happening unexpectedly without extended use or resource intensive processes then it is likely one of the components are not functioning as expected.

I did uninstall my graphics driver using DDU and clean install the latest one from the web . After DDU i also uninstalled my motherboard chip set drivers and reinstalled them , also my temps are fine i ran a lot of benchmarks and they don't go above 75 cpu and 70 gpu

Hi Zinx,

Issue reported: A Windows machine randomly restarting / crashing while playing random games.

Troubleshooting Scope: We first need to update Latest drivers and firmware/BIOS from the manufacturer's website compatible to motherboard in use. Then Install all Windows Updates including optional updates from Advanced options in Settings followed by a restart.

We then need to run a System file checker scan, DISM and Check disk scan /f /r /b, one after each restart using a command prompt with admin rights.

Please update with your findings!
