Is Save as function with parameters supported in Application Insights Logs?

Hello,

I want to save a query in Application Insights Logs "as function" with parameters but I don't have the possibility to add the parameters like I would for instance in Log Analytics Workspace.

Here is how I'm saving the query:

Save as function

Here the Options available in Application Insights:

Application Insights-Save as function

Here the options available in Log Analytics workspace:

Log Analytics Workspace-Save as function

Can it be a matter of permissions or it is just not supported in Application Insights?

I tried to check available documentation about permissions and have added Application Insights Component Contributor and Application Insights Snapshot Debugger roles to my user account but I still don't have the option to add parameters.

Is there a possible workaround?

Thank you.

@Mayorga, Gabriela (KRBOX) Welcome to Microsoft Q & A Community Forum. Kindly note that Classic Application Insights resources don't support parameterized functions. If you have a workspace-based Application Insights resource, you can create parameterized functions from your Log Analytics workspace.
