I wonder if it's possible to turn off or restrict access to Stream on SharePoint for specific users?

I notice with license that the Microsoft Stream for Office 365 E3 appears to relate to Classic Stream and turning it off doesn't stop access to Stream on SharePoint.

Can anyone advise if it's possible? And if so, how do I switch it off?

Hi Rebecca, since Stream Classic is retiring, so the Microsoft Stream for Office 365 E3 will not be related to Stream on SharePoint.

Stream (on SharePoint) is an intelligent enterprise video experience that is part of Microsoft 365,

Stream (Classic) and Stream (on SharePoint) follow different models for enterprise video. Stream (Classic) was a "single video portal" loosely connected to Microsoft 365. While Stream (on SharePoint) enables enterprise video directly in Microsoft 365 from storage up

Videos in Stream (on SharePoint) will be stored in the same place you store your Office files, in Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Yammer.

You can share with special users through the sharing feature
