Synapse Live Code does not sync with Trunk Repo. Overwrite Live also does not work. Next Step?

The Synapse live code is completely unsynced with the GIT. It's even showing pipelines that are renamed in our trunk as two separate pipelines in the live. I thought the whole value in the trunk approach was to work out conflicts prior to publishing, but of course these products never fail to dissapoint. The Overwrite option does not do anything. How do I get our code back from this Synapse nightmare?
The errors are not in complete meaningful sentences so it's hard to understand the full issue! It says "The Notebook X ... cannot be renamed as new resource Y is not available or another operation is already in progress for this new resource. Current state: succeeded."
I'm confused here! Is it renaming my notebook to "Y is not available"?? It's Just Y. And yes, it's unique. There should not be a conlfict. The product is whack.
What should the next step be? Disconnect my GIT and delete the whole instance? Start over?

This can happen if there are conflicts between the code in your Git repository and the code in your Synapse workspace, or if there are issues with the synchronization process itself.
Did you Check the synchronization status? or any conflicts which needs to be resolved?
We can try disconnect and reconnect Git?

I first disconnected the GIT, reconnected, and tried to ovewrite the live code. No response from the Synapse studio.
I did this again, but deleted the existing workspace_publish branch and deselected the import resources.
Overwrite mode failed (finally) and gave me this "error":

The last two days are derailed by this.
