SharePoint - Cannot Search Items in "Search This List"

Question

I have an inventory list in SharePoint that I was previously able to search for entries. I cannot do that now. It shows nothing found when I type in an item. I have tried reccomendations of altering "Advanced Settings", and "Re-indexing", but nothing has worked. First, what would've caused the search function to break. Second, how do I fix it?

According to your description, this should be an accidental issue.

But don't worry, let's do some troubleshooting together to narrow down the problem:

1. Clear your browser to see if the problem is resolved.
2. Try switching browsers or using the browser's private mode to see if the problem persists.
3. Check if all lists have this condition.
4. Check to see if this is the case on other sites.
5. Create a blank site and list to see if this still happens.
6. Does this happen to other users?

Hello. We do not have an administrator that is proficient enough to help with this, as we are a small company. Also, please note that other individuals at my company are able to search on the list in question; I for some reason cannot, even though I own and created the list.

I REALLY NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. BEING ABLE TO SEARCH LISTS IS VITAL FOR ME AND MY JOB.
