Can Iaas can be used as a private cloud ?

Hi Team,

I am preparing of AZ 900 exam. If i am running large scale business and i want Iaas Service i want Iaas resources should be located on my site. I don't want third party to manage this infra. If this could be happened then we call this service(Iaas) as private cloud or Iaas on-prem ?

Or in Iaas we have this sub category(private cloud/on-prem) ?

On-premises.

"Private cloud refers to a model of computing where resources are delivered as a service over the Internet from a centrally managed data center. On-premise infrastructure management, on the other hand, refers to an approach where an organization manages its own IT infrastructure, typically in-house."

If you host the virtual machines yourself, don't forget you can leverage Azure services - like Azure Arc to bring Azure capabilities, such as Azure POlicy, and Update Management to your self hosted virtual mchines.
