As of this week, Windows 10 has refused to open my Display settings. Every other settings tab works except for this one. I have tried reinstalling my display adapter driver, Clean booting using msconfig, running DISM checkhealth and restore health, even ran a full system diagnostics and updated my BIOS, plus every other method that appears to be available on the topic but absolutely nothing works! Are there any other things I could try?

PS. I also tried uninstalling the most recent Windows updates to no avail.

    Hello there,

If you're unable to open the Display settings in Windows 10, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches or conflicts that might be preventing the Display settings from opening. Restart your computer and see if the issue persists.

Use the keyboard shortcut: Try opening the Display settings using the keyboard shortcut. Press the Windows key + I together to open the Settings app directly to the Display settings.

Use the Run command: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type "control" (without quotes) and press Enter. This will open the Control Panel. From there, navigate to "Appearance and Personalization" and then "Display" to access the Display settings.

Use the Action Center: Open the Action Center by clicking on the notification icon located on the far right side of the taskbar (it looks like a speech bubble). In the Action Center, click on the "All settings" button. This will open the Settings app. From there, navigate to "System" and then "Display" to access the Display settings.

Check for system updates: Ensure that your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, issues with accessing certain settings can be resolved by installing the latest updates from Microsoft. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click on "Check for updates."

Run the System File Checker (SFC) scan: Open the Command Prompt as an administrator by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Command Prompt (Admin)" or "Windows PowerShell (Admin)." In the Command Prompt window, type "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and press Enter. The System File Checker will scan for and repair any corrupted system files that may be affecting the Display settings.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

I can't access display settings either. When I click "display", the whole settings app shuts down. SFC doesn't work, there are no new updates other than upgrading to windows 11.
