Upgrade to Windows 11 is not showing up in Software Center. This started happening in late April/Early May. Same behavior on VM as well as end-user systems.

Client status on deployment = Unknown. UpdateDeploymentLog has entry Total Actionable Updates = 0. UpdateStorelog has entry "Missing" for this update.

Some things I've tried...

Added/removed the Win11 x64 2023-6B to/from the associated package and software update group in addition to the "Upgrade to Windows 11" update. Recreated the package/software update group / deployment. Reinstalled a client. reset the smscfg.ini, machine registry.pol (I have also recreated the SoftwareDistribution folder on a couple). I've deployed setupconfig.ini to the WSUS directory as recommended by ASquareDozen to Compat=IgnoreWarning and dynamicupdate=Enable (We sync the dynamic updates for windows 10/11 but the required count is 0). I've checked a couple endpoints for the registry AppCompatFlags\CompatMarkers all 0. Checked the Client Settings to confirm Dynamic Updates are enabled for feature updates.

We block access to Windows Update and Store via Group Policy...

Alternatively, the teams can go to the Download Assistant and upgrade form there...

    Hello sgbtx-0892,

what is the difference between the "Upgrade to Windows 11, (Consumer/Business)..." update vs. the new monthly updates "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-06B" and should I be using one of the other for the Win10>Win11 servicing?

The "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-XXB" updates are provided from the new Unified Update Platform (UUP) which include the latest quality updates.

Before upgrading your Windows 10 machines to Windows 11, make sure that all related Servicing Stuck updates are installed.

You will find more details about the UUP with on-prem platform in the following TechCommunity post:

    Hi, @sgbtx-0892

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

It sounds like the Upgrade to Windows 11 is not showing up in Software Center and the client status on the deployment is Unknown.

One thing you may want to try is verifying that the server running the software update point is added to the default site boundary group for the clients. You can add individual software update points to different boundary groups to control which servers a client can find. After doing this, run Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle on the Configuration Manager and check the LocationServices.log on a client machine to confirm the client can connect to the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server.

And have we checked the WUAHandler.log on clients?

I have done what you suggested by adding the site server to the Default Boundary Group. Since doing this, I see additional data in the LocationServices.log specifically calling out the WSUS/SUP server but I do not see the actionable items count move up from 0 on local clients. We currently use a 3rd party peer-to-peer product so I am not sure when/if this was intentionally removed when we originally went to that product.

What am I specifically looking for in the WUAUHander.log?

Also, what is the difference between the "Upgrade to Windows 11, (Consumer/Business)..." update vs. the new monthly updates "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-06B" and should I be using one of the other for the Win10>Win11 servicing?

The reason I ask is that on my Win10 VM client, the 2023-06B update appeared but not the "Upgrade to Windows 11..." update (all are in the same Software Update Group and package).

    Thank you in advance

    Hi, @sgbtx-0892

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

The "Upgrade to Windows 11, (Consumer/Business)..." update are the new monthly updates "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-06B" both are the feature update of windows 11 22H2, the "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-06B" are provided from the new Unified Update Platform (UUP) which include the latest quality updates like Youssef mentioned.

If we check the updates in WSUS, we can see the "Upgrade to Windows 11, (Consumer/Business)..." are replaced by "Windows 11, version 22H2 x64 2023-XXB", so only the 2023-06B updates appeared in software center is expected.
