Wireless Headset Not Working with Teams

Teams added a new feature today called "Spatial Audio". Even with this feature disabled, my wireless head set no longer works correctly with teams - the speaker is not transmitting the meeting sounds/audio. Please fix. I don't care/want Spatial Audio - I want to use my wireless headset!

    Hi Munro,

    Please try to uninstall audio drivers and restart your machine.

    We can also visit the manufacturer's website to find more suitable drivers for a wireless headset.

    On the other hand, we can try to update settings in Teams using three dots on the top right corner mentioned below.

    settings.icon

    Then we need to validate settings under devices as mentioned below.

    settings.teams

    Please update with your findings//

    Thanks!

    Please help me understand why Microsoft Teams has SO many problems with audio connections of ANY kind. The internet is littered with hundreds and hundreds of forum pages of people complaining, with zero action on Microsoft's part. I have been in situations where I have tried 2 different Bluetooth headsets AND a wired headset on 3 different devices (phone, tablet and laptop) trying to get Teams to enable audio or microphones, and nothing works. Disconnecting calls, and trying direct calls, nothing works. Except when you try the Test Call, perfect audio...miraculous!. Reset/reinstalling the audio drivers (i.e. "It ain't our fault gov") is about all that Microsoft can come up with, despite telling them that these issues happen on multiple devices and multiple headsets, logic does not seem to register as far as Microsoft are concerned (here's a hint..." ITS YOUR SOFTWARE!"). It is maddeningly frustrating and Microsoft, in typical Microsoft fashion couldn't give a fig.

    I totally agree. I have huge problems, the same as described by multiple above, must restart my computer more or less before every meeting. Microsoft do not understand that the problem is with Teams. They just ignore the problem.

    @Munro, Tricia

    According to the description of your problem, you can try the following steps:

    Step 1: Make sure there is no problem with your headset device, change the headset or use the speakers that came with your computer.

    Step 2: Close all other applications that may be using your speakers.

    Step 3: Make sure that Teams and your computer are using the same speakers.

    Step 4: Be sure to unmute the microphone before or during the meeting.

           Before the Meeting: Next to your profile picture at the top of Teams--> Settings--> devices-->Audio devices-->Microphone-->Make a test call.

    1

           During the Meeting: Teams Meeting Window--> Settings--> devices Setting-->Microphone.

    2

    Step 5: Check the Windows sound setting

    Windows-->Sound setting-->Input-->Select device to speak to record-->Volume.
