I'm wondering why the playback slider stops in the preview window of the Windows 10 video editor instead of going to the end of the video. It's the same if you put a photo or video in it and play it. Please let us know your solution.캡처

    hi there,

    based upon the information provided

If the playback slider in the preview window of the Windows 10 Video Editor stops instead of reaching the end of the video or photo, there are a few possible reasons for this behavior.

Ensure that the video or photo clip is fully imported: Sometimes, if the clip is not completely imported or processed, the playback slider may stop prematurely. Wait for the import or processing to finish before attempting playback.

Check the project timeline and duration: Verify that the project timeline is set up correctly and that the duration of the video or photo clip extends to the desired end point. Adjust the timeline or clip duration if needed.

Update the Windows 10 Video Editor: Make sure you have the latest version of the Windows 10 Video Editor installed on your system. Microsoft often releases updates that address various issues and improve the functionality of their applications.

Press the Windows key + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.

Go to Apps > Apps & features.

In the "Apps & features" section, search for "Video Editor."

Click on "Video Editor" from the list.

Click on the "Advanced options" link.

Scroll down and click on the "Reset" button.

    or

Press the Windows key + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.

Go to Apps > Apps & features.

In the "Apps & features" section, search for "Video Editor."

Click on "Video Editor" from the list.

    Click on the "Uninstall" button.

    Confirm the uninstallation when prompted.

Now, open the Microsoft Store app.

Search for "Video Editor" in the Microsoft Store.

Click on "Video Editor" from the search results.

Click on the "Install" button to reinstall the Video Editor.

    And see if it helps,

    Thank you
