I have several academic calendars I want to make viewable to my students via our office platforms student dashboards by embedding their links. I can find where to publish and copy the links but the links are dead ends with denied access. What am I missing? I work at an apprenticeship school and I am not the admin of the Microsoft account - that is the only thing I can think of that would be blocking these links from working.

If you are trying to share academic calendars with your students via your office platform's student dashboards by embedding links, but the links are showing as "access denied," there are a few possible reasons for this issue:

Insufficient Permissions: As you mentioned, you are not the admin of the Microsoft account, which means you might not have the necessary permissions to share the calendars or provide access to external users. In this case, you should reach out to your organization's IT or system administrator to discuss the access permissions and request assistance.

Calendar Sharing Settings: The calendar you are trying to share may have restricted sharing settings that prevent external users from accessing it. The organization's IT or system administrator can help review and adjust the sharing settings for the calendars to ensure they are accessible to the intended audience.

Tenant-wide Policies: It's possible that your organization has implemented tenant-wide policies that restrict external access or sharing of calendars. These policies are typically managed by the organization's IT department, and they may need to make exceptions or adjustments for your specific use case.

Embedding Restrictions: The office platform or student dashboard you are using may have limitations or restrictions on embedding external content, including calendars. Check the documentation or contact the support team of your office platform to confirm if embedding calendars is supported and to inquire about any specific requirements or configurations needed.

In any case, it's recommended to communicate with your organization's IT or system administrator to discuss your requirements and address the "access denied" issue. They will have the necessary knowledge and access to troubleshoot the problem within your specific environment and provide appropriate solutions.

Please note that without administrative access or permissions, there may be limitations to what you can do in terms of sharing and embedding calendars. Collaborating with your organization's IT department will be crucial in finding a suitable solution for your situation.

    Hi @Nicole ,

Which link did you copy and then share? I tried testing in my lab tenant by publishing a calendar from OWA and then copying the HTML link, I can successfully access the calendar in an InPrivate window of the Browser without signing in:

Please try it again on your end by sharing the HTML link and see if it works. In case the error persists, you can copy the link and browse it in the private mode of the browser and check the result. Please try it again on your end by sharing the HTML link and see if it works.
