Windows 10 1709 don't install Windows Update

Question

I have a Windows 10 machine.
It is a old Windows 10 Build. The build is 1709.
In the past this machine did have Internet access, not this host can surf on Internet.

I would install Windows Update to improve security of this PC, but they fails.
The error message is:
Your device is at risk because it's out of date and missing important security and quality updates. Let's get you back on track so Windows can run more securely.

How can I fix? Is too old WIndows 10 Build to get Windows Update?

Hi,

If you use Media Creation Tool, you could upgrade from version 1709 to version 2004 directly.

By the way, the latest version is 20H2 update, you could see the change in the following official link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Hi,

Version 1709 is too old, it lacks critical security and quality updates.
The fastest way to get the upgrade is through Media creation tool or ISO file.
Please download Media Creation Tool from the link below and select Upgrade this PC at the first screen:

choose Download Tool Now, then open the tool and choose Upgrade This PC Now. This saves your files, apps and most settings in place, is the most stable method to change versions, brings your Updates current, resolves most problems.

I recommend you to upgrade to latest version i.e. V2004 via ISO file.

Hi all,
I will follow your suggestions!
It is important for me improve security of this machine soon as possible.

Can I directly upgrade from version 1709 to version 2004? I have a pendrive with Win10 1909.. do you suggest to upgrade with multiple steps?
