Depending on the billing frequency you chose when you bought your Microsoft 365 subscription, you should receive an invoice monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, or annually. The amount of time since the last invoice date is called the billing period, and it's shown on page one of the invoice, above the billing summary section. This time represents the date range during which charges accrue for the current invoice. Starting on page two of the invoice, you see the charges grouped by their service period. At the end of each billing period, you receive an email that says your new invoice is ready to view or download in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
To find the proper invoice under your company name, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and sign in with your credentials.
- Navigate to the billing section and choose the invoices option.
- From here, you should be able to see a list of all invoices associated with your account.
- Locate the invoice you need to show to your accountant and click on it to view it.
- On the first page, you should be able to see the billing period, which is the date range during which charges accrued for the current invoice.
- On page two of the invoice, you'll see the charges grouped by their service period.
