I need to take a backup of exciting development branch in azure synapse

Data eng wants to take a backup of branch in azure synapse . And they want to upload files to the development branch . files are available either in their local or azure repo in azure devops

Can I create a new branch which will create a back up and upload files through data link step in synapse studio .

    Yes, you can create a new branch in Azure Synapse Analytics to create a backup of the development branch, and you can use the Data Flow transformation in Synapse Studio to upload files from your local machine or Azure DevOps repository to the new branch.

    In the Develop hub , can I create a branch which will have backup of the development branch , And to upload files from local can I used linked in data hub in synapse studio and upload files
