Assign a SharePoint Group Permissions to a Folder

Not sure what I'm doing wrong now - it appears I have been able to accomplish this in the past but cannot for the life of me remember how!

All I'm trying to do is assign a SharePoint Group (that I created) specific permissions to a specific folder in one of my document libraries.

Here is the group. For the Site as a whole, they only have READ permissions.

For the indicated folder within the indicated document library, I want this group to have EDIT permissions.

If I go into Manage Access on the folder, I get this.

Clicking on Groups gets this.

I've Googled around and I've seen suggestions like "Click on Advanced in lower right corner" or "Hit Stop inheriting permissions" but none of those options are available to me (or at least I cannot find them).

If I hit Share and start typing in the name of my SharePoint group, those groups do not show up. All that shows up are e-mail groups as they are defined in our Outlook Exchange server - which does me no good.

I know I've done it in the past as shown in this example, but have no idea how I was able to accomplish this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Microsoft has updated Manage Access experience. You could follow below steps to grant permissions in the new Manage Access experience.

1.In the Manage Access -> Click More options in the upper right corner.

2.Advanced settings -> Stop Inheriting permissions -> Grant permissions
