Adjusting VM screen resolution

I have an VM (size B2ms running Windows 10 pro). I have a particular 3rd party software installed on this VM and it's set up to run and open on VM startup/reboot in a "kiosk/guided access mode". When I RDP into the VM, the screen resolution is really wonky to the point that the software window is either way to blown up or way to small. I've tried adjusting the RDP client screen resolution properties during my session manually but still can't get the remote VM session resolution to a usable level. I've tried matching the VM built in resolution to the RDP client properties as close as I can but still no dice.

I've tried this on different physical computers with the same issue.

I can't access the VM windows display settings since I'm actively in a remote session with the VM. The option is grayed out and gives me the above mentioned error message. Is there any other workaround for me to adjust the VMs screen resolution/display setting? Would a registry edit of the VM work to adjust the VM screen resolution instead? I would also need the resolution edit to persist after a reboot/shutdown.

Appreciate the assistance!

    @David Nguyen

    This seems like an odd issue. Could you include some images of what you are seeing? Also run this command on the Virtual Machine and let me know the results.

    wmic path Win32_VideoController get VideoModeDescription

    I was able to adjust resolution with the Remote Desktop Client under the Display tab. What options do you see here?
