I believe this might be a compatibility issue with Commvault and its ability to backup NFS file share. There is some confusing and conflicting information in their documentation.
"Data You Cannot Back Up
- Files and folders without a name.
- Files and folders that contain a forward slash ("/") in their names.
- NFS file shares in an Azure premium storage account because NFS file shares do not support REST APIs.
To back up NFS file shares in an Azure premium storage account, see Azure Files."
I request you reach out to Commvault about this, as the statements appear to be contradictory.
