team, i am looking to import PST files to M365 mailboxes and I have some queries:

  • I can see that the networ upload will happen on azure blobs. do i need an azure subscription for that ? or it's free and will happen from the backed
  • Can i migarte these PSTs to my online archiving folder? as these PSTs are more than 100 GB.

Thank you

    1. No, it uses azure blobs, but they're not associated with your subscription, it's all managed by Microsoft as part of the import process.
    2. Yes, you can import directly in the archive, you specify the destination in the CSV mapping file. Keep in mind that you cannot dump 100GB therein in one go, as that hits the maximum size of the archive. To get over that limit, you need to enable auto-expanding archives, the process of populating which involves a lot of waiting. Also, Microsoft recommends that single PST file should be max 20 GB.
