RDS-Server 2019 loses license after moving to new domain

I have a RDS-Server 2019 that i moved / added to a new domain. After adding it to the new domain it gives the error that the license is not correct (anymore). After 1 hour it disconnects the users because of this problem. What should i do now? I think the license can be activated only once, so a clean install is not an option.

    Hello Werner Vermelis

If reactivating the license doesn't work, you may need to try to transfer the license to the new domain. Here are some steps to try:

    1. Open the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager on your server.
    2. Right-click on your server name and select "Properties".
    3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
    4. Click "Reactivate Server" and follow the prompts.
    5. If prompted, select "Transfer the licenses to another license server".
    6. Enter the name of the new domain and click "Next".
    7. Follow the prompts to complete the license transfer.

You can refer to the following official documents.

If this doesn't work, you may need to contact your Microsoft license expertise for further assistance with transferring your license to the new domain.

    Best regards,
