so I had a problem with my laptop when I freshly installed Windows 10, at first I installed Windows 10 1511 in 2015 on my Dell Laitutde E5410 laptop, then after everything was installed I tried installing the driver through the driver booster application, after everything was installed, it didn't work there was a problem at all, until I found something strange, namely when I plugged in the laptop charger, my laptop's brightness was dimmed even though I had set it to 100%, as a result I was confused, and I finally updated my windows to 22h2, after the update everything remained smooth , I thought the brightness of my laptop was normal and it wasn't dim when I plugged in the charger cable, finally after I plugged the charger cable into my laptop, it turned out that the problem had not been resolved, the brightness remained dim even though I plugged it into the charger and it was set to 100% . then I tried again to update the driver via driverpack, and after that everything remained the same. oh yeah, I used to be a Windows 10 1903 2019 user too. But there was no problem, and only now is there a problem on my laptop.

    Hi,@elpathan ganteng.Welcome Microsoft Q&A.

It seems that you are experiencing an issue with the brightness settings on your laptop after installing Windows 10 and updating the drivers.

Here are a few suggestions you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the brightness issue:

Check Power Plan Settings: Verify the power plan settings on your laptop. Sometimes, power-saving settings can affect the brightness when the charger is plugged in. Ensure that the power plan is set to a balanced or high-performance mode and check if it affects the brightness behavior.

Update Graphics Driver: Ensure that you have the latest graphics driver installed for your laptop. Visit the manufacturer's website or the Dell support website, enter your laptop model details, and download and install the latest graphics driver specifically designed for your laptop model.

Disable Adaptive Brightness: Windows has a feature called Adaptive Brightness that automatically adjusts the display brightness based on ambient lighting conditions. Sometimes, this feature can cause issues. You can disable it by going to "Power & sleep settings" in the Windows settings, clicking on "Additional power settings," selecting your current power plan, and then navigating to "Change plan settings" -> "Change advanced power settings" -> "Display" -> "Enable adaptive brightness" and setting it to "Off" for both "On battery" and "Plugged in" options.

Check BIOS Settings: Access the BIOS settings of your laptop and look for any options related to display or brightness control. Ensure that the brightness settings are configured correctly in the BIOS.

Perform a Clean Install: If the issue persists, you might consider performing a clean installation of Windows 10 on your laptop. This involves reinstalling Windows from scratch, which can help resolve any software-related issues. Make sure to back up your important files before proceeding with a clean install.

If none of these steps resolve the brightness issue, it might be worth contacting Dell support or seeking assistance from a professional technician who can diagnose and troubleshoot the specific issue with your laptop.

    Best Regards.

    Hui Liu.
