We are currently deploying a vast amount of Linux based systems to our Cloud environment and due to our current on-premise operations we plan to continue the use of the Rocky Linux OS however we have noticed recently that there appears to be some incompatibility with some of the Azure extensions such as: Azure Monitor Agent incompatibility with Rocky 9 - I believe this is going to be rectified this month? Azure Disk Encryption for Linux incompatibility with Rocky 8 or 9. Microsoft Defender for endpoint incompatibility with Rocky 8 or 9. Can it please be confirmed Microsofts plans for support of the Rocky OS and whether issues with the extensions above are planned to be fixed.

As you already noted these extensions are not currently supported for Rocky OS. Unfortunately, I do not have information on when or if these extensions will support Rocky OS. I have reached out internally to the product teams that manage these extensions informing them of your request.
