How to adjust virtual machine display resolution to adapt to full screen

On my Win10 desktop, I've installed Hyper-V, and hope to make its display resolution fully utilize my hardware capacity in my 2 monitors.

For Hyper-V,

  • in context of "Hyper-V Manager > host > Hyper-V Settings > Enhanced Session Mode", I've checked the box of "Use enhanced session mode";
  • in context of "Hyper-V Manager > vm > Settings > Integration Services", I've checked all the boxes, including "Guest services".

The 1st monitor is my laptop Lenovo ThinkPad which the resolution is 1920 x 1080. The 2nd monitor is LG monitor 27 inch which the resolution can be up to 2560x1440.

However, when I'm doing remote desktop connection to this VM, the looks in my 2nd monitor doesn't reflect the bigger screen resolution and I can't change the Display Setting inside the VM.

The look at my laptop :

The look at my 2nd monitor :

All the same between 1st monitor and 2nd monitor, only it is bigger.

How to make the resolution bigger when I show it in my 2nd monitor ?

Since I can't change the Display Setting inside VM ->

    Hi Voltes Devpro,

    It is recommended to first check whether the virtual machine created is a Generation 1 or Generation 2, as Enhanced Session Mode does not apply to Generation 1 VMs (unless Windows 10 Pro, Education, or Enterprise) VMs or VMs running non-Windows operating systems.

    Best Regards,
