All of a sudden remote desktop has stopped working and I cant access it. Some background first:
The remote server is running the latest version of Windows 11.
Normally when I try to login from the client I open "OpenVPN" create a connection and then run the MRD app.
The client is a remote M2 Mac. Its software is also up to date (Ventura 13.4.1). The MRD application is also up to date.
I can open OpenVPN and achieve a connection with the remote server.
Once I have OpenVpn running I can key in the local IP address for the router and open and adjust the router.
So I know I am accessing the server and I can see the IP address in the router and it is correct.
Have also reset the router and asked the internet provider to reset at their end.
I am wondering if the MRD credentials and password have a conflict with the server app.

So the question is am I on the right track and is there a way to update MRD password from the client side using a Mac? Thanks

    Hello there,

To remotely change your password for Remote Desktop using a Mac as the client, you'll need to access the Remote Desktop Connection client and make the necessary changes. Here are the steps to follow:

Open the Remote Desktop Connection client on your Mac. This can be downloaded from the Mac App Store if you haven't installed it yet.

Click on "Remote Desktop Connection" in the menu bar at the top of the screen, and then select "Preferences."

In the Preferences window, click on the "Passwords" tab.

Locate the entry for the remote desktop connection for which you want to change the password.

Click on the password field next to the entry and update it with your new password.

I used AI provided by ChatGPT to formulate part of this response. I have verified that the information is accurate before sharing it with you.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
