APIM - defaults to Developers users group

I would like to create users in API managed instance through REST api call, but when i create user through Rest api call, users are added to Developers group. But i would like to add them to different user group that's created in APIM. Could you help on this?

For reference, the APIs that you need to use are

User - Create or Update: Create the User

Group User - Create: Add User to Group

I am making call to User - Create or Update api, which is creating the user but the User is added Developers group by default. After that, i am making call to Group User - Create api to add that user to custom group.

Now, User is added to both Developers & Custom Group. But i have to add the user to Custom Group only. How to avoid adding the User to Developers group?

@ARCOT NAGARAJA The developers group is a system-managed group which encompasses all users. This is an immutable group and cannot be changed.

When new products are created, only the administrators group is added by default. So as long as the developers group is not added to products, it shouldn't affect your scenario.

The developers group is primarily meant to simplify things as users are added to it by the system automatically.
