Print Management Issues

I am running a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2 and have a strange issue with Print management. In my environment there are multiple computers connected to printers through this print server. There are about 30 printers connected to the print server. Each time I remove, add, or make a change to a printer in print management, every single computer connected to every printer (not just the one I made the change on) reads that they need a driver update. The printer then has to be removed and re-added to the computer to resolve this, until another change is made on the print server....

Has anyone else seen this/ any recommendations for a fix?

Hi,

May I know if all the 30 printers are different types? Or are they same type?

Are you using universal print drivers for these printers?

This is a mixed environment of printers and drivers. We are using the printer specific drivers for them.

Hi,

Would you mind to share the screenshots of steps how you add and remove the printers?

And is it possible for your to add a new virtual printer (not real exist) with different driver from the 30 printers, and see if the same issue will occur?
