Cannot establish synapse link connection to azure sql db table (that was previously linked)

I had a link connection in my synapse workspace to an azure sql db table. I discovered that the data had not been syncing for the last month (not sure why). as a troubleshooting step i stopped the link, deleted it and then tried to re create it. When i try to start the new link I get this error:There is no available source table that has been enabled successfully for Synapse Link. Continuous run ID: b67f5a88-268c-473b-8a2a-3de7e9dc12ff

I had this happen before and it just eventually went away but i really need to get this table synced tonight if posisble. Does anyone know work around?

Hello,

I have previously synced this table and no changes were made to it. I have tried a few times to re create a new link and it does not work. This happened previously with another table and it just self resolved so i Feel this is a bug when you stop a link and delete it.

I cannot delete the entire synapse workspace as it is our production environment!

I tried to create this link on our non production synapse workspace and it worked! How can i get this working on our production workspace?

Update, i was able to use my non prod synapse environment and it was able to start the link with no issues. But i need to get this working on our prod workspace. How can i fix?

I think the "bug" or issue happens when an existing link connection is stopped and deleted. It is like something is getting "stuck" in the workspace.

I recreated using sql server admin credentials vs the previous which was using managed identity and it’s now working. Still not clear why.

@Frank Bluemke - I agree that this issue looks strange and I wasn't able to reproduce this issue. If you have a support plan could you please file a support ticket for deeper investigation and do share the SR# with us?
