I can't open an excel file I created because I don't have permission..

I created an Excel file back in 2022 in a shared network and added restricted access so only me and another person could edit it and everyone else could open it in read-only mode. The file has been blocked for a couple of days now and now no one can access it not even me that I created the file because the following error shows "You are not signed in to Office with an account that has permission to open this workbook. You may sign in a new account into Office that has permission or request permission from "myself". And if I press "Request Permission" a new email window pops up with my email in both the "From" section and the "To" section. Does anyone know why I can't open the file suddenly even when I created it and I should have full control according to the security tab:

    Hi @Francisco,

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Ensure that you are signed in to Office with the same account that you used to create the Excel file.
    2. Check the security tab of the Excel file and ensure that you have full control over the file. Also, ensure that the other person who has editing access still has the permission to edit the file.
    3. Try to copy the file to a different location and see if you can access it from there.

If the above steps do not work, the file might be corrupted or damaged.
